From the begining of time cattle, as well as sheep, goats, bison and all other ruminant animals have been designed to graze grass and browse - not eat massive amounts of grain, animal by-products chicken manure, stale bakery waste or bubble gum(this is really true!), nor do they need antibiotics, dewormers, vaccines, or steriod growth hormones!
At Cool Springs Ranch the cows are always being moved to clean fresh grass and water with free-choice minerals and kelp - THIS is all they need to THRIVE! They do not need any of the crutches of modern agriculture - they just "band-aid" the health problems caused by the un-natural diet and environment.
While we don't have the leg-up on the conventional food systems "efficiencies" and quick finishing ability, what we DO HAVE is the most healthy, flavourful, real beef that can be grown!
When the animals eat good, so do we!
